28191Edmund Gooch2013-02-012013-02-01The original order of staves is 2d. - 1st. - [Instrumental bass] in the opening symphony, and Tenor - [Alto] - Treble - [Bass] - [Instrumental bass] thereafter. The 2nd parts of the symphonies during and after the verse are given on the tenor stave in the source, but are given on the Alto stave in the present edition. The alto part is notated in the treble clef at the upper octave in the source. The last note of the opening symphony is printed in the source as a minim, and has been shortened here to a dotted crotchet to accommodate the quaver at the start of the sung section. The C{{sharp}} and A on beat 1 of bar 11, given here as quavers, are printed in the source as quaver grace notes slurred to the following note in each case (which is printed as a crotchet). The second time bar at bar 40 has been added editorially to accommodate the repeat which is shown in the source. The first verse only of the text is underlaid, with the other verses given here printed after the music.84987The singers go before with joy (Thomas Clark)The singers go before with joyThomas Clark2023-09-16 07:51:51
