Life

Born: 13 February 1971

Biography

In 1990 he entered the Department of Opera in Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. He transferred to the Department of Composition & Conducting of the same University in 1994 and became a student of Prof. Muammer Sun. He graduated in 2000.

İsmail Sezen, who has compositions for piano, voice and piano, choir, guitar, sympony orchestra, theatre and movies, won the third place with Colours from the Rainbow in the Young Musician of the Year competition which was held for orchestral composition by British Council in 2000. This piece was published on CD. In 2010, he won two honorable mentions in Present for our Republic: Piano Pieces Competition which was held by BESOM (Composers, Conductors and Musicologists Association) and Ankara Kızılay Rotary Club.

He is still working as a lecturer in Ankara University State Conservatory Composition Department.
