First Line: The God of Abraham praise
Composer: Nehemiah Shumway
Description: First published in The American Harmony, 1793, pp. 171-172. Words the first stanza of Yigdal, reportedly by Daniel ben Yehudah Dayan , very loosely paraphrased by Thomas Olivers, 1770. Various Christian authors and compilers give a variety of choices for stanzas beyond the first; none of them seem to belong to Yigdal.
