Born: Kiev, Ukraine, 1962

Biography

Paul (Pavlo) Stetsenko began his formal studies at the Glière Music College and continued them at Kiev Conservatory. While still studying at Kiev Conservatory, Paul Stetsenko performed throughout Ukraine and the Baltic states.

In 1990 he moved to the US and continued his studies at New York's Juilliard School, majoring in Organ Performance. He first received his Master's degree and a few years later graduated with a doctorate.

Since his US debut, he has appeared as a recitalist and soloist in numerous venues including Alice Tully Hall and Paul Hall in Lincoln Center, Organ Concert Series at Columbia University, the Keyboard Series at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, all in New York City; the University of Salisbury in Maryland, the Fourth Presbyterian Church (Chicago), The Washington National Cathedral, at the annual Bach Marathon in Chevy Chase Presbyterian (Washington, DC), and many others.

Dr. Stetsenko's organ repertoire is drawn from the most significant eras and areas of the organ literature; however, the complete organ works J. S. Bach constitute its core. In 2009-2011, Paul Stetsenko performed the complete organ works of J. S. Bach as part of Bach Vespers at Westminster, in Alexandria, VA.
