GF Handel Gavotte

Hi Glenn. Welcome to CPDL and thank you for your choral work submissions. I see that you have also posted your edition of the Handel Gavotte from the Concerti Grossi, Op. 3, which is an instrumental work. Unfortunately, purely instrumental works and arrangements are beyond the scope of CPDL, and the only ones which are allowed to be published here are instrumental movements from larger choral works (oratorios, cantatas, etc.), for example the Sinfonia and Pastoral Symphony from Handel's Messiah, HWV 56. Hence, it is necessary for us to remove the Gavotte. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have created for you, and I hope this will not discourage you from continuing to submit other choral works. – Chucktalk Giffen 08:13, 29 March 2011 (CDT)

Chuck, I have just checked this edition and it's an arrangement for 4 mixed voices, so perhaps you could reconsider. —Carlos Email.gif 14:20, 30 March 2011 (CDT)
Hi Glenn and Carlos. Thanks for the explanation and the changes (English to None for text, clarification in Edition notes). It makes more sense now. Glenn, do you have some suggestions as to what syllable(s) or vowel(s) to sing with your arrangement? - adding this information would be very helpful. – Chucktalk Giffen 08:41, 31 March 2011 (CDT)

Hi Glenn, I noticed that you moved your audio files to sugarsync.com, but unfortunately they require a registration in order to listen to them. Wouldn't you like to upload small, medium quality mp3 versions to CPDL instead? Regards —Carlos Email.gif 07:58, 22 August 2011 (CDT)

The uploads to CPDL have now been completed.Glennobrien 09:06, 23 August 2011 (CDT)
