Die Schwalbe schwingt zum Abendliede
sich auf das Stänglein unterm Dach,
im Feld un in der Stadt ist Friede,
Fried is im Haus un im Gemach.

Ein Schimmer fällt vom Abendrote
leis in dei stille Straß heiein,
und corm Entschlafen sagt der Bote,
es werd ein schöner Morgen sein!
