The generosity and humanity of God our Saviour has manifested itself. It was on account not of our just works but of His mercy that He saved us, cleansing us by the restorative powers of the Holy Spirit which He lavished upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, justified by grace, we may, as we hope, inherit from Him eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Original text and translations

The generosity and humanity of God our Saviour has manifested itself. It was on account not of our just works but of His mercy that He saved us, cleansing us by the restorative powers of the Holy Spirit which He lavished upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, justified by His grace, we may, as we hope, inherit eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
