Description: This is Bruckner's second setting of the "Ave Maria". In 1856, Bruckner had already composed a first setting (Ave Maria, WAB 5) for mixed choir, soprano and alto soloists, organ and violoncello. In 1881, he composed a third setting (Ave Maria, WAB 7) for alto soloist and organ.
