Description: The German text above the staff, in red ink in the manuscript, in the Contra and the Tenor voices, seems to indicate a quote of an unidentified popular or folk song. The word 'fickel' is a Thuringian dialect variant of 'ferkel', and, in the bottom of the page, there is a drawing, the only one in the whole manuscript, showing a sow with three piglets, black, red and white. The identification of the Thuringian word, as well as the original German spelling and the English translation, are by Mick Swithinbank.
