Life
Born: 11 August 1954
Biography
Born in Italy in 1954, Daniele studied piano and organ with private teachers. He received his grade 10 piano from the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music, London, Ontario. Daniele Colla has his Bachelor of Philosophy from Rome University, M.Th from the University of Toronto. Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and Bachelor in Music from York University. Daniele is vocal and choral teacher with the Toronto Catholic District Board, Organist and choir director at St. Paschal Baylon’s Church both of adult and children choirs and the founder and artistic director of Coro San Marco. Also the founder of the annual multicultural event “Singing Together.” Daniele has taken many master courses with well-known choral conductors such as Lydia Adams, Linda Beaupre, Brainnerd Blyden-Taylor, Christopher Walker, John Ford. On June 2nd, 2006, Daniele Colla received the Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Solidarity from the president of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, for his work in music.
