Choral arrangements

  • (Posted 2017-11-01)  CPDL #47156:
Arranger: Ludwig Erk
Editor: Nikolaus Hold (submitted 2017-11-01).   Score information: A4, 1 page, 43 kB   Copyright: CC BY NC
Edition notes: Arrangement for mixed chorus; transcribed from "Sängerhain" (details in pdf file). The book states: "Nach Robert Schumann, 1845 - Mehrstimmig von Ludwig Erk". This wording was probably an oversight, as notes remained unchanged (except for an octave in the bass in the last but one bar). Compared to Schumann's male choral score, it is only transposed a fourth higher, and the text underlay is a bit simplified.

Der See ruht tief
im blauen Traum
von Wasserblumen zugedeckt.

Ihr Vöglein hoch im Fichtenbaum,
dass ihr mir nicht den Schläfer weckt!

Doch leise weht
das Schilf und wiegt das Haupt
das Haupt mit leichtem Sinn,

ein blauer Falter aber fliegt
darüber einsam hin.
