Description: Tune first published in the French psalter in 1561, harmonized in the Scottish Psalter of 1565; transcribed from the Scottish Psalter of 1635. Words by Thomas Sternhold, 1547, paraphrase of Psalm 25, with 22 stanzas. The anonymous composer used the first two stanzas of Sternhold's paraphrase in the composition.
