Lieto fuor de l'Ovile,
Esce il Pastor gentile,
Dove il terren verdeggia,
Et in stagion sì piana,
Tonda la bianca lana,
De l'amata sua greggia,
E d'armonia poi varia,
Di voci e canne empie le valli e l'aria.
