Description
The Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom was set to music by Sergei Rachmaninoff in 1910, his Opus 31. It is one of his major works for unaccompanied choir. It consists of twenty sections, listed below. The words are attributed to John Chrysostom, a fourth-century church father. John Chrysostom wrote in Greek; somewhere along the line they were translated to Church Slavonic, as used in this work.
