Description: First published in The Columbian Repository, 1803, p. 376, for three parts: Treble-Tenor-Bass. Revised in The Sacred Harp, 1850, and Alto part written by D. P. White. Words by Isaac Watts, 1709, Hymn 92 of Book 2, with nine stanzas. Holyoke used the first two stanzas of Watts' hymn in his composition.
