Latvian.png Latvian text

1  Mirgo sudrabots sniegs,
sirdī klusums un miers.
Dvēseli piepilda prieks:
Debesis Glābēju sniegs.

2  Svētā nakts drīz jau nāks,
sirdis gavilēt sāks.
Dievnami mirdzoši kļūs,
Pestītājs piedzimis būs.

3  Sirdsbalss aicina mūs
Dievu palīgā lūgt,
garīgi pilnīgiem kļūt,
mūžīgo dzīvību gūt.

English.png English translation

1  The silvery snow gleams,
there is peace and tranquillity in our hearts.
Joy fills our hearts:
there will be a Saviour in heaven.

2  The holy night will soon come,
our hearts will be glad,
Churches will be filled with light,
the Redeemer will be born.

3  Our inner voice tells us
to pray for God's help,
To become spiritually perfect,
to gain eternal life.
