Description: First published in The Hartford Collection of Sacred Harmony, 1807, for four voices: two trebles, tenor, and bass. Words by Benjamin Beddome, 1787, Bright and Morning Star, with five stanzas. Gillet used the first two stanzas of Beddome's hymn in his composition.
