so frage ich nichts nach Himmel und Erde.
Wenn mir gleich Leib und Seele verschmacht,
so bist du doch, Gott, allezeit
meines Herzens Trost, und mein Teil.
French translation
Seigneur, pour peu que je t’aie,
je ne demande rien ni aux cieux ni à la terre,
et même si mon âme et mon corps disparaissent ensemble,
tu es, Dieu, en tout temps,
