Edition notes: Only the text of the first verse (comprising verses 1 and 2 of the psalm) is given in the source: the second verse (verses 3 and 6 of the psalm) has been added editorially, on the basis of the heading 'Verses the 1st. 2d. 3d. & 6th' in the source. Original clefs treble, alto, tenor, bass. The first two notes of the tenor part in bar 4 are printed in the source as a small crotchet grace-note slurred to a full-sized semibreve, and have been expanded editorially. Bar 21 has only 2 beats in the source: the minim rest on beat 3 of this bar has been added editorially.
