Villancico de Navidad

Hay un viento lleno de frio
Reposando en los caminos,
Y en el aire un silbido
Todo lleno de resplandores.

Mas un viento milagroso,
Nacerá por Navidad,
Brillará como un lucero
Para alumbrar el portal.

Tiene aires de pajarillo
Y claridades de día
Que se lo dio Jesús Niño
Y la Santa Virgen Maria.

English translation

Christmas Carol

There's a cold wind filled
Lying on the roads,
And whistled in the air
All full of splendor.

But a miraculous wind,
Be born at Christmas,
Shine like a star
To illuminate the portal.

It has an air of bird
And clarities day
That gave it the Child Jesus
And the Holy Virgin Mary.
