Boldogok, kiknek megbocsáttattak gonoszságaik, és kiknek bűneik elfödöztettek.
Boldog a férfiú, kinek az Úr nem számitja be a bűnt, és kinek lelkében nincs álnokság.
Mivel hallgattam, megavúltak csontjaim egésznapi kiáltásomban.
Mert éjjel és nappal megnehezedett rajtam kezed; megtértem nyomorúságomban, midőn a tövis szurdalt.
Vétkemet megvallottam neked; és hamisságomat nem titkoltam el. Mondtam: Megvallom magam ellen hamisságomat az Úrnak; és te megbocsátottad bűnöm istentelenségét.
Ezért könyörögjön neked minden szent alkalmas időben; és a nagy vizek áradása nem fog hozzá közeledni.
Te vagy menedékem a szorongatástól, mely körűlvett engem; te, én örvendezésem, ragadj ki az engem környezőktől.
„Értelmet adok neked és megtanítlak téged az útra, melyen járj; és rajtad lesznek szemeim.“
