Latin text Quam púlchra es et quam decóra, Caríssima, in delíciis túis. Statúra túa assimiláta est pálmae, Et úbera túa bótris: Cáput túum ut Carmélus, Cóllum túum sícut túrris ebúrnea. Véni, dilécte mi, Egrediámur in ágrum, Et videámus Si flóres frúctus parturiérunt, Si floruérunt mála púnica: Ibi dábo tíbi úbera méa.

English translation How beautiful you are, and how graceful, Dearest, in your delights. Your stature is like a palm tree, And your breasts like grape clusters; Your head is like Mount Carmel, Your neck like a tower of ivory.  Come, my beloved, Let us go into the field, And let us see If the blossoms have brought forth fruit, If the pomegranates have bloomed: There I will give you my breasts.
