Latin text 13  …Quem dicunt homines esse Filium hominis? 16  Respondens Petrus dixit: Tu es Christus, filius Dei vivi. 17  Et ait Jesus: Beatus es Simon Petre Quia caro et sanguis non revelavit tibi sed Pater meus qui est in caelis. 18  Et ego dico tibi, quia tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram ædificabo ecclesiam meam. Hungarian translation 13  Kinek tartják az emberek az Emberfiát? kérdezte Jézus tanítványaitól. 16  Péter így válaszolt: Te vagy a Krisztus, az élő Isten Fia. 17  18  Én pedig mondom neked: Te Péter vagy, és én erre a kősziklára fogom építeni egyházamat.

English translation 13  …Whom do men say that the Son of man is? 16  Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. 17  And Jesus answered, Blessed art thou , Simon Peter: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18  And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church.
