Sorge lucente la vagh'aurora nel oriente,
scote dal crine su'l pian ch'in fiora per le di brine.
Gl'augell'in tanto chiaman il giorno condol'e cante,
al herbe intenti pe'l prato adorno scorron gl'armeti.

Poi fuor del mare dirai fecondo, il sole appare,
eco splendori, riport'al mondo vaghi colore.
Ardente poi discioglie al gelo, gl'argenti suoi.
A gl'augelletti sul verde stelo, io fiamma il petti.

Vicino'al rivo l'armento fugge al rezzo estivo,
e nel azzura che'l tutto strugge, langue natura.
Cosi discende di chio che piace ciò che n'offende.
E giunte al bene con fe tenace scanno le pene.
