Description: First published in Southern Harmony, 1835, p. 59, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass; Alto part written by William Walker in his Christian Harmony, 1867. Words by John Gambold, 1742, with fourteen stanzas in meter 55. 65. Walker combined two of Gambold's stanzas in each of his, and combined the lines, to make seven stanzas of 10 11. 10 11.
