== Come, thou long-expected Jesus (William Walker) ==

Jefferson was first published by, and probably composed by, Alexander Johnson in his Tennessee Harmony, 1818, for three voices. James Lowry rearranged it for four voices in 1825; Southern Harmony in 1835, and The Sacred Harp (1844) also had editions, both reducing it to three parts. Walker's edition differs from Johnson's in only one note, so maybe it's not really an arrangement (and so doesn't belong on Walker's page). I propose "Come, thou long-expected Jesus (William Walker)" be merged with Jefferson (Alexander Johnson), where the comparison of all versions appears. – Barry Johnston (talk) 15:42, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
Also, William Walker's 1835 publication is called Southern Harmony; but the copy in The Sacred Harp (1844-1991) is identical with Walker's in the three parts (Tr-T-B) Walker had. – Barry Johnston (talk) 23:01, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
