Latin text Túa Iésu diléctio, gráta méntis reféctio, réplet síne fastídio, dans fámem desidério. Qui te gústant esúriunt, qui bíbunt ádhuc sítiunt, desideráre nésciunt, nísi Iésum quem díligunt.

English translation by Mick Swithinbank Your love, Jesus, is welcome refreshment to the spirit; it restores without trouble, giving hunger to longing. (granting the hungry their desire?) The hungry taste you, those who drink were thirsty before, they have no further desires besides Jesus, whom they love.

German translation Deine Liebe, Jesus, ist willkommenen Erquickung des Geistes schenkt Erfüllung ohne Überdruß, gibt der Sehnsucht Hunger. Die dich kosten, hungern, die trinken, dürsten immer noch, sie wissen nichts zu ersehnen, außer Jesus, den sie lieben.
