There are some pieces for which Art Song Central does not actually host a copy of the sheet music, and I'm inclined to think that those links should be made to the hosting site. (While I am glad to attract new visitors to the site, it seems only fair. I'm open to other opinions, though.)

American baritone David Newman enjoys an active and varied concert career throughout North America. Hailed as “electrifying” by the Washington Post and noted by the Sacramento Bee for his “rather perfect oratorio voice,” he is in particular demand as a Baroque specialist. He has performed Messiah with Tafelmusik, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, and with Masterwork Chorus in Carnegie Hall; St. John Passion with the American Bach Soloists, Carmel Bach Festival, Chorale Delaware, and the Bach Chamber Orchestra of Honolulu; and St. Matthew Passion with the Bach Society of St. Louis, Baroque Choral Guild, San Francisco Bach Choir, and a national tour with the combined forces of Santa Fe Pro Musica and the Smithsonian Chamber Players.

Adding Scores from Art Song Central

CPDL editors are welcome to link to songs from my site, but I ask that you link to my song information pages, and not rehost the PDF files. I've put a lot of work into creating a site that complements, rather than competes with CPDL, and I appreciate the referrals.

There are some pieces for which Art Song Central does not actually host a copy of the sheet music, but links to an externally hosted file. I'm inclined to think that in those cases, links should be made to the hosting site. (While I am glad to attract new visitors to the site, it seems only fair.)

Choral Scores

I'm preparing several choral pieces I've written or arranged to be added to CPDL.
