Hi Huub. The code <nowiki>{{DEFAULTSORT:Light exists in spring, A (Huub de Lange)}}</nowiki> has been added to pages such as [[A light exists in spring (Huub de Lange)]] to sort the page in categories under "L" rather than "A". This system is used on CPDL in the same way as textbook indexes and in other documents where alphabetisation has been used. Any score page with an English title which begins with the definite or indefinite article should be sorted under the second word instead of "The", "A" or "An". I have changed the pages back to the state before you removed the "defaultsort" template. Please don't change them back. --[[User:Bobnotts|Bobnotts]] <small>[[User talk:Bobnotts|'''talk''']]</small> 21:02, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
== Various ==
Hi Huub. I saw that you added the French translation of the Lord's Prayer to [[Notre Père (Huub de Lange)]]. I've removed this since the text is already available on the [[Pater Noster|text page]] which the score page links to.
Secondly, I noticed you changed the capitalisation of the titles of a couple of other score pages - [[A Light exists in spring (Huub de Lange)]] and [[The Daylight is dying (Huub de Lange)]]. I've had a quick look around and found that in some sources, Emily Dickinson's poem has many more capital letters than I would expect (eg. [http://www.americanpoems.com/poets/emilydickinson/10764 here]) whereas in other sources, notably [http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/12242 Project Gutenberg's record] of her poems, the common nouns such as "light", "year", "color", etc. are not capitalised. I note that in your PDFs, you have not capitalised any of these words. What's your reasoning behind capitalising "light" but not "spring" in the title? What was your source for the text? For Paterson's poem, I can't find a source which capitalises "daylight" - could you explain your reasoning here? These may seem like trivial issues but I think it's important to agree to a standard here on CPDL and (attempt!) to apply it universally. Thanks in advance for your reply. --[[User:Bobnotts|Bobnotts]] <small>[[User talk:Bobnotts|'''talk''']]</small> 16:42, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
== Sorry for temporarily blocking your account ==
I regret for having temporarily blocked your account. The attitude and the language you used towards another CPDL user and SysOp were unacceptable. I would be very happy to immediately unlock your account if you recognize that your reaction was exaggerated and apologize. You may use the forums to this purpose. Max a.k.a.
