Description: Words by Thomas Scott, 1772, Christ risen, and death vanquished. In Scott's original, this hymn appears in eight stanzas; there are many versions of this hymn. The version used here is from Rippon's Selection, 1792 (six stanzas), because that is the source that Janes often used.
