Carlos, a rather belated thank you for pointing out Top, Middle and Bottom. Infinitely easier than the code, which I could never remember! I've taken on inserting it whenever I come upon a table in the old format, since I'm sure others will find it as useful as I do when they spot it.
It makes you save enormous amounts of time which otherwise is wasted on templates wizardry, manual synchronisation of pages and so on, scarying off most translators; and offers many other aid to efficient translation.
Now it's also available in handy tarball bundles.
The page explains how to get help and more information, and there is extensive documentation; asking on #mediawiki-i18n @ freenode is probably your best chance for immediate assistance if needed.

Helo Carlos

You have helped me before. I want to add scores of a Swedish composer that is not in the composers list. His name is Knut Håkanson.

Hi, Carlos. Thanks for the welcome. I've used CPDL quite a bit over the last few years and want to contribute back to it as I am able. Thanks, too, for clarifying my posting of a literal translation. (I'm still learning wiki conventions.)

Thanks and update to Batten work
Carlos -- thanks for your note welcoming me back to Choral Wiki! It prompted me to look and see what was the first thing I uploaded. Then I noticed my correction for Batten's "Haste Thee, O God" was in a hard-to-use format. These days I can easily make a PDF, so I did that and uploaded it. That also spells the composer's name correctly! I think I entered the information properly to create a new edition and I separately uploaded the PDF under the same name. But you or another editor will probably need to review and make sure everything is correct. Cheers, chris Christopherjhoh (talk) 13:46, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Thou Knowest, Lord, the Secrets of Our Hearts, Z.58b
Hello Carlos, yes, you are right: I (christoph Lahme) am the Editor. Z.58b is not the 'opus-number' for all of those settings of "Thou knowest", but only for that revised first setting I contributed. Moreover it's part of the Funeral Sentences (1672, 1677), but not composed for the funeral of Queen Mary. Thanks.--Christophero Manco (talk) 22:28, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Christophero Mancohttps://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php?title=Funeral_Music_for_Queen_Mary,_Z_860_(Henry_Purcell)&diff=407256Funeral Music for Queen Mary, Z 860 (Henry Purcell)2013-03-03T21:36:38Z
Christophero Manco:

1.The way is long and dreary,
The path is bleak and bare;
Our feet are worn and weary,
But we will not despair;
More heavy was Thy burden,
More desolate Thy way,
O Lamb of God, who takest the sins of the world away,
Have mercy upon us, and give us Thy peace.

2.The snows lie thick around us,
In the dark and gloomy night;
And the tempest wails above us,
And the stars have hid their light;
But blacker was the darkness
Round Calvary's Cross that day,
O Lamb of God, who takest the sins of the world away,
Have mercy upon us, and give us Thy peace.

3.Our hearts are faint with sorrow,
Heavy and sad to bear;
For we dread the bitter morrow,
But we will not despair;
Thou knowest all our anguish,
And Thou wilt bid it cease;
Have mercy upon us, and give us Thy peace.
Die Sterne leuchten am Himmel,
Es blinken die Wellen im See;
Es lockt und es grüßt aus der Tiefe,
Es grüßt und es winkt aus der Höh'.

Und leise flüstern die Lüfte,
Da schauert in Wonne der See;
Rings heilige, selige Liebe,
Nur mir in dem Herzen das Weh'.
Die Sterne sie wandeln am Himmel,
Die Wellen sie ziehn durch den See;
Was kümmert es sie, ob auf Erden
Ein Herz in Liebe vergeh'!
Was trug Maria unter ihrem Herzen ?
What ‘neath her heart does Mary bear?
A little child doth Mary bear
Beneath her heart he nestles there.
Bußlied
<poem>
An dir allein, an dir hab ich gesündigt,
Und übel oft vor dir getan.
Du siehst die Schuld, die mir den Fluch verkündigt;

Erfreue mich um deines Namens willen;
Du bist ein Gott, der gern erfreut.

Laß deinen Weg mich wieder freudig wallen,
Und lehre mich dein heilig Recht,
Mich täglich tun nach deinem Wohlgefallen;

<poem>
Auferstehn, ja, auferstehn wirst du,
Mein Staub, nach kurzer Ruh'.
Unsterblichs Leben
Wird, der dich schuf, dir geben.
Halleluja!

Wieder aufzublühn werd' ich gesät.
Der Herr der Ernte geht
Und sammelt Garben
Uns ein, uns ein, die starben.
Halleluja!

Tag des Danks, der Freudentränen Tag,
Du meines Gottes Tag!
Wenn ich im Grabe
Genug geschlummert habe,
Erweckst du mich.

Ach, ins Allerheiligste führt mich
Mein Mittler dann, lebt' ich
Im Heiligtume
Zu seines Namens Ruhme.
Halleluja!
Description: Originally composed as „Chor der Jünglinge“ (Text: "See the conqu’ring hero comes") in the 3rd movement of the Oratoriums Josua, Händel later inserted this choir also into "Judas Maccabäus".

Around 1820, Johann Joachim Eschenbach (other sources attribute it to Friedrich Heinrich Ranke) added the text "Tochter Zion, freue dich" and turned the song into an advent carol. Currently, it belongs to the most well-known and most often sung christmas songs in the German-speaking countries.
