Io seguo l'orme in vano,
D'una fugace fera,
Che tanto è bella
quant'è crud'e fiera,
E sempr'alter'errante
d'amor schiv'e rubella,
Sen va solinga, in questa part'e'n quella,
Ma non però m'arresto,
Per che la via fia longa,
Che tanto correrò fin che la gionga.
