Edition notes: Transcribed from 1575 print. Original key (high chiavette) and note values. In the first part - unlike the Breitkopf und Härtel Palestrina edition - we divided the word laureatus into five syllables (la - u - re - a - tus) because the music seems to ask for 5 syllables.

O lux et decus Hispaniae, sanctissime Jacobe,
qui inter apostolos primatum tenes,
primus eorum martyrio laureatus.

O singulare praesidium,
qui meruisti videre redemptorem nostrum adhuc mortalem
in divinitate transformatum,
exaudi preces servorum tuorum,
et intercede pro nostra salute, omniumque populorum.
