Piae vocis laudes canta
Quia maior omni sancta
Chorisque angelicis,

Quem impletum verbo patris
Clamat intra claustra matris
Infans dum iniungitur.

In hoc festo novae laudis
Virginalem concham audis
Quae sitim exterminat.

Foeditatem puritas
Crimen lavat caritas
Humilitas germinat.

Primum domum per hanc praestat
Sit et cunctis danda restat
Quod dat eius manibus.

Concha fontis es Maria gratiae fidelium
Per quam fluunt in hac via
Gratiae fidelium.

Quae se hristi genitricem
Nostri qui mediatricem
Manifestare hodie.

Quis tunc eris reliquorum
Qui sit particeps donorum
Absque tanta foemina.

Quod convertens pius pater
Facitque hanc virgo mater
Vitam det cum fidelio.

Nam per hanc nostra natura fit divina
Genitrice fit et morbi nostri cura
Salus que fit hominis.

Tolle primo adorandum adora venerandum
Sed in medio laudandum
Esto nunc glorificans.

Tu nos visita cum pia Christi lumine
in haec via ut edocti cum Sophia
Regnemus in Jerarchia tecum conviventium.

Sing praises with devoted voice
For one greater than any saint
And than the angelic choirs,

The Christ child, full of the Father's word,
Acclaimed by the infant in the womb
When he was brought near.

In this festival of renewed praise
You hear the Virgin's trumpet
Banishing sinful desire.

Purity washes filth,
Charity washes sin.
Humility buds forth.

The gift is first known through her
And so she remains, a gift for all,
Because she gives from His hands.

Mary, you are pearl of the fountain,
Through whom graces for the faithful
On their journey flow.

Today she shows herself to be
Mother of Christ,
Mediator for us.

Who then will have, who then has,
A share in the gifts to come
Unless there stands for us such a woman.

With transforming power the Father all holy
Decreed, that this Virgin Mother
Would with her son be the bringer of life.

Yea, through her our nature may be made
Divine; and by her, the mother, our sickness
Cured and mankind saved.

Exalt him who is to be first adored! Adore him
To be worshipped; but in the middle may she be,
Glorifying him who’s to be praised!

Visit us now on our way with the holy light of Christ
That formed by Wisdom we may live and reign
With you in heaven.
