These two editions appear to be identical notewise.
1. C flat on last note of soprano should surely be B natural, though it makes no difference to the harmony.
2. Bars 43-44. The soprano notes on "thoughts molesting" appear to be a third down, at least according to the Denis Stevens edition (1966)
3. Bar 25. Soprano & alto have A on "with", whereas Stevens has G. G makes a passing discord, but it doesn't sound inauthentic.
4. Bar 54. Stevens has D in soprano, rather than B natural. B natural, with a tierce de Picardy, actually sounds better than the open chord.

Could James please create an edition in the original key, no reduction? ThanksSeth Engel (talk) 04:18, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
