Errors in CPDL #4818

The voicing seems to be incorrect, it should be SAB, not ATB.Cjherbert 13:18, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

What brought you to that conclusion? The range of the top line goes down to a B and only goes up to an A. The tessitura seems ideal for altos. I have performed this anthem a few times with men's voices for which I believe it was written. --Bobnotts talk 14:34, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps I did not express myself very clearly, the problem is not the range, which would work for men, but the second part. In the score this is indicated for tenors, down an octave from the written pitch. This does not correspond the accompaniment (when it is there), puts the second part below the bass a lot of the time and well out of the range of most tenors. The second part should be sung a pitch (treble clef) not down an octave as indicated. This would indeed be fine for an ATB group.Cjherbert 08:40, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying. Yes, indeed you're right. The tenor part is simply notated an octave too low. --Bobnotts talk 13:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
