Still functional???

Lately Mergeto doesn't seem to work, or at least to display on my computer: Tres sunt (Tomás Luis de Victoria) now has a box displaying code for the target instead of a blue link. Richard Mix (talk) 05:57, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi Richard. This template used to work just fine, but something must have changed in the newer versions of the MediaWiki platform that Max constantly upgrades. I removed some code that is mostly superfluous and the template is functional again. —Carlos (talk) 23:38, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
It seems the same problem with 'Instruments' template, like on that page: Magnificat (Johann Sebastian Bach) Claude (talk) 07:46, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
or there: Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern (Michael Praetorius) Claude (talk) 16:40, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Even though the problems are similar in appearance, they are different in nature, given that the syntax of the Instruments template is much more complex. I'll have a look at it as soon as possible. By the way, Claude, I never understand your preference for URLs instead of wikilinks. ;) —Carlos (talk) 01:48, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Carlos. I just forgot the double square brackets trick, sorry. Will try to remember… ;-) Claude (talk) 06:38, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Same appearance here Chorale prelude, By your kingly power (Richard Perrignon) in 'Genre' template. Claude (talk) 16:51, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for spotting this error, Claude. The first parameter of template Genre should never be empty, as all works are either "secular", "sacred" or "both" in nature. Anyway, I've changed the template in order to display a friendly remark when that happens ;) —Carlos (talk) 18:32, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Carlos, I've been able to reduce the 'Category:Works with invalid genre' list a bit ;-) Claude (talk) 06:45, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
