- Edition notes: The original order of parts is 2nd - 1st - [Instrumental bass] in the opening symphony, and Tenor - [Alto] - Treble - [Bass] - [Instrumental bass] thereafter. The alto part is printed in the source in the treble clef, an octave above sounding pitch: the second part of the symphony after the verse is given on the tenor stave in the source, but is given on the alto stave in the present edition at the same written pitch. 1st and 2nd time bar markings at bars 25-26 have been added editorially to accommodate the repeat back to partway through bar 15, which is shown in the source with segno markings, and the concluding symphony. Verses 2-4 of the text are printed after the music in the source.
