General information

The Canticle of Miriam, also known as the Song of Moses (Az Yashir Moshe). Source of text is Exodus 15:1-3. In the Catholic novus ordo adopted in 1970 it has a prominent place in the Easter Vigil.

15:1  Cantemus Domino gloriose enim magnificatus est: equum et ascensorem projecit[dejecit]
in mare.
15:2  Fortitudo mea et laus mea Dominus, et factus est mihi in salutem: iste Deus meus, et glorificabo eum; Deus patris mei, et exaltabo eum.
15:3  Dominus quasi vir pugnator omnipotens nomen ejus.

15:1  I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
15:2  The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will glorify him; the God of my father, and I will exalt him.
15:3  The Lord is as a man of war, Almighty is his name.
