The Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was, between 1263 and 1969, celebrated on July 2, moved to May 31 in 1969 by Pope Paul VI to better accord with the feasts of the Annunciation and the Nativity of John the Baptist. Christians in Germany, as well as Anglicans using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, still observe it on the former date.
