Child who inherits
All our transgressions,
All our demerits
On him fall!

In principio erat verbum,
Et verbum erat apud Deum,
et Deus erat verbum.
Hodie Christus natus est!
Hodie salvator apparuit!
Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Once the most holy
Child of salvation
Gentle and lowly
