Circumdederunt me gemitus mortis,
dolores inferni circumdederunt me:
et in tribulatione mea invocavi Dominum,
et exaudivit de templo sancto suo vocem meam.
Ps. Diligam te Domine, fortitudo mea:
Dominus firmamentum meum, et refugium meum, et liberator meus.

English.png English translation

The sorrows of death have assailed me,
the pains of hell have encompassed me;
and I called upon the Lord in my distress,
and from his holy temple he heard my voice.
(Ps 17: 2, 3) Vs. I will love thee, Lord my strength;
the Lord is my rock, my refuge and my deliverer.
