Italian text Cosi al vostro tornar, le vostre genti, Mostrar gioia signor estrem'e vera, Sendo seren'il ciel placid'i venti, Cantar le sacre ninfe, e ogni riviera risonò, Buon compagno in dolc'accenti, E tornò vaga e nova primavera.

English translation Even so at your return, Sir, your people showed extreme and true joy: the sky being serene and the winds gentle, the sacred nymphs sang, and every shore echoed "Buoncampagno" in sweet accents, and spring returned, new and lovely. (Tr. Ruth I. DeFord)
