German text Er ist's Frühling lässt sein blaues Band wieder flattern durch die Lüfte, süsse, wohlbekannte Düfte streifen ahnungsvoll das Land. Veilchen träumen schon, wollen balde kommen. Horch, von fern ein leiser Harfenton! Frühling, ja du bist's! Dich hab' ich vernommen.

English translation It is he Spring lets his blue ribbon Flutter again through the air; Sweet, familiar fragrances Lightly touch the land foretellingly. Violets, already dreaming, Will come soon. Listen, in the distance a soft sound of a harp! Spring, it surely is you! You have I heard.
