Original note values have been retained, including final 'longs' (before a double or full bar line) which, regardless of their mensural value, should be held to complete cadences. Editorial leading notes have only been offered in cases where they highlight linear cadences. Intermediate cadences have become acceptable in recent times, but in the present editor's opinion they may not represent general performance practice in the Late Renaissance, unless clearly marked in 16th c. editions.
