Life

Born: 21 Sep 1737

Died: 9 May 1791

Biography Francis Hopkinson was an American author and one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence as a delegate from New Jersey. He later served as a federal judge in Pennsylvania, appointed by President Washington. He played a key role in the design of the first American flag.
