Biography
American printer, publisher and composer. Before 1792, he was manager of a printing company, Santo Domingo. In 1792, he returned to America, and settled in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he became involved in the publishing business and co-owned a newspaper (The Oracle of Dauphin). Married Louisa Weiss in 1793. He was Postmaster General to President George Washington, 1793-98.
