1 Mein Gott, mein Gott, ach Herr, mein Gott, warum hast mich in meiner Not
so ganz und gar verlassen? Ich heul vor Leid, da ist kein Gnad,
mein Schmerz ist üb'r die Maßen.
2 Mein Gott, des Tags ruf ich zu dir, Gehör willt du nicht geben mir,
des Nachts kann ich nicht schweigen, wenn du uns hilfst, du frommer Gott,
wird's zu dein'm Lob gereichen.
3 Auf dich der Väter Hoffnung stund, sie trauten dir von Herzensgrund,
da war dein Hülf vorhanden, als sie riefen, war Rettung da,
sie wurden nicht zu Schanden.
4 In schwerer Not ruf ich zu dir, ach Herr, sei du nicht fern von mir,
eil, bald mich zu erretten, damit ja nicht ihr mörd'risch Schwert
mein arme Seel mög töten.
