German text Maria and Joseph Mein Sohn, warum hast du uns das gethan? Siehe, dein Vater [deine Mutter] und ich haben dich mit Schmerzen gesucht. Jesus Was ists, dass ihr mich gesuchet habet? Wisset ihr nicht, dass ich sein muss in dem was meines Vaters ist? Chorus Wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen, Herr Zebaoth. Mein Seel verlanget und sehnet sich Nach den Vorhöfen des Herren. Mein Leib und Seele freuet sich In dem lebendigen Gott. Wohl denen, die in deinem Hause wohnen, Die dich loben immerdar, Sela.

English translation Mary and Joseph 48b  Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father [thy mother] and I have sought thee sorrowing.
