General Information
Title: Missa Gloria tibi Trinitas
Composer: John Taverner
Number of voices: 6vv Voicing: SATTBB
Genre: Sacred, Mass
Language: Latin

Description: This mass has no Kyrie since in the liturgical use of the period, the Kyrie was generally troped. It is not unusual in modern times to precede this mass with the composer's Kyrie Le Roy. The Missa Gloria tibi Trinitas is also notable because the In nomine section of the Sanctus is the 'mother' of all "In Nomine" compositions (Benedictus qui venit IN NOMINE Domini) by various Renaissance composers.
